With hearts filled with both sorrow and gratitude, the Sillah, Jawara, Yanka, Thoronka, and Sheriff families wish to announce that our beloved matriarch, Mama Yirie Sillah, has been laid to rest in her hometown of Solia Village, Diang Chiefdom, Koinadugu District.
Her burial ceremony was a peaceful and dignified one, surrounded by family, friends, and well-wishers who came together to celebrate her remarkable life of 105 years — a life marked by love, faith, and service.
Mama Yirie’s legacy of kindness, humility, and wisdom continues to live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many lives she touched.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit remains a guiding light, reminding us of the power of faith, family, and perseverance.
We thank everyone who stood with the family in prayer, support, and love during this time.
May her gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace and may her memory forever be a blessing to generations. 🕊️
