It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Franklyn Chiny Richards (Salisu), who was born on 22nd November 1936 in Freetown.
He is survived by his beloved wife Mrs. Modupe Richards, his children Clifford Alganon Richards (USA), Bamie Raymond Richards, Chiny Richards, and Angie Richards (USA), and his cherished grandchildren Nathan Richards, Clifford Richards Jnr, Aqua Tryphina Richards, and Ryan Edwin Richards.
He will also be fondly remembered by his siblings Cynthia Kemi Richards, Mrs. Marjorie Lewally, Mrs. Rosaline Sonnah, Mrs. Lorna Turay, and Mrs. Cynthia Johnson (née Richards), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends at home and abroad. His family lineage and bonds extend across the Richards, Lewally, Sonnah, Carr, Cole, Turay, Carpenter, Beckley, Ogoo, Adams (Damaya Family), Langley, Metziger, Hasting-Spaine, Roberts, and many others.
Education & Career
Mr. Richards was educated at WAM Collegiate School. He faithfully served Sierra Leone through his work at the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources, and the Ministry of Agriculture, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
