BO, Sierra Leone Authorities have apprehended a 16-year-old boy, Shadrach David Sam, in connection with the alleged murder of his grandmother, Sub-Inspector Magdalene Fatu Conteh, a medical officer at the Police Hospital, Bo East Division.
Preliminary reports indicate that Conteh was found dead in her home under troubling circumstances that have left the community in shock. Sources suggest that Sam fatally stabbed his grandmother and concealed her body in their residence for three days. During this time, he reportedly informed neighbors and relatives that she had gone to Pujehun for a workshop.
The motive for this tragic incident remains unclear, and the police have not released additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding Conteh’s death or the discovery of her body. Shadrach David Sam is currently in police custody as investigations continue to determine the details and reasoning behind the alleged crime.
