A total of 298 Sierra Leonean home-based Hajj pilgrims have safely arrived at Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah. The group landed on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 4:40 AM KSA time via Egypt Air.
Upon arrival, the pilgrims were warmly welcomed by His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed S. Barrie and Deputy Ambassador Abdul Aziz Turay, who greeted them with fresh Ajwa Madinah dates.
The pilgrims are currently being accommodated at Manazil Al-Falah, conveniently located a short walk from Masjid Nabawi, the Prophet’s Mosque. During their stay in Madinah, they will perform daily prayers at the mosque and visit historic sites, including the Prophet’s tomb, before proceeding to Makkah for this year’s Hajj.
In total, 2,000 Sierra Leonean pilgrims from home and abroad are set to perform Hajj this year, scheduled to take place from June 4th to 9th, 2025 (8th to 12th Dhul-Hijjah 1446H).
