It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved patriarch, Alhaji Alimamy Samura. He was called home to Allah, leaving behind a legacy of love, duty, and laughter.
Alhaji Alimamy was a man of many names, each a testament to a life fully lived. To many in the community, he was affectionately known as “School Fees Transport,” a nickname that spoke to his tireless dedication to helping families secure the future of their children through education. To others, he was respected as Police No. 908 Samura, a title that reflected his years of honorable service and commitment to upholding the law. But to his family, he was simply everything: a devoted father, a cherished grandfather, and a beloved great-grandfather.
He was the steady hand and the warm heart of his family,a man whose wisdom guided his children, whose stories captivated his grandchildren, and whose gentle presence was a comfort to his great-grandchildren. His life was a beautiful example of faith, resilience, and selflessness. He carried himself with a quiet dignity, yet his kindness was loud and his generosity was boundless.
Alhaji Alimamy’s departure leaves a void that cannot be filled. While we take solace in knowing he is now in the mercy of Allah, we will miss his laughter, his advice, and the unique light he brought to every room.
He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family. May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him the highest rank in Jannah Al-Firdaus.
“O soul at peace, return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him]. So enter among My servants and enter My Paradise.” (Quran 89:27-30)
