A Freetown pensioner has struck it big after correctly predicting 15 football matches on Mercury International’s betting platform.
Leslie Prince Mensah-Coker received a cheque for Le692,000 on Monday, July 6, 2026, during a presentation at Mercury International’s headquarters on Walpole Street in Freetown.
Company officials said the win qualified the pensioner for Mercury’s 100 percent bonus promotion, which rewards customers who accurately predict 15 games.
Speaking at the event, Mercury International’s Chief Operations Officer, Beresford Bournes-Coker, said the payout demonstrates the company’s commitment to honoring winnings and rewarding loyal customers.
