Four Wraps of Cocaine Seized at Jendema Customs Complex

On October 13, 2024, Zainab Donzo was arrested at the Jendema Customs Complex for allegedly attempting to transport illegal narcotics, specifically four wraps of cocaine, in a significant operation against drug trafficking in the region.

The arrest was made by joint security forces stationed at the border during a routine inspection when officers noticed suspicious behavior. Upon investigation, they discovered the wraps of cocaine in Donzo’s possession. This successful operation highlights the professionalism and vigilance of the security personnel involved.

Chief Superintendent of Police Philip Albert Kpange, the Local Unit Commander at the Mano River Division, received commendations for his leadership in ongoing security efforts. Under his guidance, the division has intercepted several illegal drugs at the Jendema Customs checkpoint, reinforcing its critical role in maintaining border security.

The case has been transferred to the Transnational Organized Crime Unit for further investigation, with efforts underway to ascertain if any larger trafficking networks are involved.
