The National Revenue Authority has sealed Mineret Company Limited over an outstanding tax debt of US$1 million.
The enforcement action was carried out on Monday, September 1, 2026, by the NRA’s Non-Tax Revenue Department. It marks the beginning of a wider compliance drive targeting businesses with unpaid liabilities.
According to the NRA, the move demonstrates its commitment to ensuring all companies operating in Sierra Leone meet their statutory tax obligations and clear outstanding debts.
The Authority disclosed that 10 additional businesses and companies will face similar enforcement measures as part of the ongoing campaign. The NRA did not name the firms or state the amounts involved.
In a statement, the NRA urged all taxpayers and businesses with outstanding liabilities to settle promptly. It warned that failure to comply would attract enforcement actions in accordance with the law.
The crackdown is part of government efforts to strengthen domestic revenue mobilization and improve taxpayer compliance.
