FREETOWN — The Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation (MoCTI) has certified its first batch of civil servants under the Civil Service Digital Skills Training Programme.
The certification follows a three-week intensive training in digital literacy.
The programme is a joint initiative between MoCTI, the Ministry of Public Administration and Political Affairs (MoPAPA), the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) and the Public Service Academy (PSA).
Participants, drawn from the administrative cadre, were grouped to deliver live capstone presentations demonstrating practical skills gained, particularly the use of Google Workspace tools to manage daily administrative tasks.
According to MoCTI, the tools are expected to boost communication, collaboration and productivity across government offices.
While congratulating the graduates, the Ministry noted that the success of the programme will be judged by how effectively the skills are applied in the workplace.
The second cohort is expected to commence on October 9.
