On November 30, 2024, the Board of Directors of the National Revenue Authority (NRA), led by Chairperson Mr. Kabineh M. Kallon, carried out a thorough inspection of the Customs Services Department at Freetown International Airport in Lungi. The visit aimed to evaluate the operational state and infrastructure of the facility, with a focus on enhancing transparency and efficiency in revenue collection.
During the inspection, the Board reviewed NRA properties and held a meeting with Customs staff to discuss operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement. Chairperson Kallon reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to streamlining processes, improving operational effectiveness, and fostering collaboration within the department. “This visit underscores the NRA’s dedication to strengthening its presence and effectiveness in Lungi, ensuring that we meet our revenue collection objectives while addressing staff concerns,” Mr. Kallon stated. The Board emphasized the importance of maintaining robust infrastructure and leveraging technology to enhance service delivery.
