Statistics Sierra Leone (Stats SL) has announced the opening of various temporary positions in preparation for the upcoming 2026 Decennial Population and Housing Census (PHC). This nationwide initiative aims to collect vital data to support national development efforts.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply through the Stats SL website at www.statistics.sl. The application process is straightforward:
- Navigate to the vacancies section via the main menu.
- Scroll to the end of the introductory message and click the link for available positions.
- Review the various roles and their terms of reference.
- Click the “Apply Now” tab, located at both the top and bottom of each position description.
- Complete the application form with personal information, including your National ID and NIN number, work history, district of origin, and emergency contact details.
- Indicate your highest level of education or qualification.
- Upload your resume or CV.
- Write a brief letter of interest in the designated section and submit your application.
Applicants will receive a congratulatory message upon successful submission, followed by a confirmation email to the address provided. Selected candidates will be contacted after the application deadline for interviews.
It is important to note that Stats SL does not charge any fees or request payments at any stage of the application process. Candidates are advised to be vigilant and disregard any messages soliciting payment.
