President Julius Maada Bio recently met with a team of young innovators from the Kamara Yokie Innovation Center, who are set to represent Sierra Leone at this year’s VEX Robotics Competition in Texas, USA.
Kamara Yokie, the leader of the Innovation Center, joined the team as they discussed their journey and plans for the upcoming competition. President Bio expressed his admiration for the students’ determination and encouraged them to pursue their dreams. He wished them success and urged them to make Sierra Leone proud on the global stage.
The team is preparing to compete in a prestigious robotics event, where students from numerous countries will showcase their skills and creativity. As they finalize their preparations for travel, the young innovators expressed excitement and pride in representing Sierra Leone internationally.
