The National Civil Registration Authority (NCRA) convened a vital Technical Working Group meeting at its headquarters on King Harman Road, aimed at improving birth and death registration processes. This initiative seeks to strengthen coordination among various stakeholders involved in civil registration.
The recent meeting followed a prior discussion held on October 8, 2024, at the Cabenda Hotel, where participants began exploring the development of a harmonized and efficient Birth and Death Register. Key topics included fostering collaboration among stakeholders and advancing the establishment of a modern and reliable registry that is universally accepted.
The NCRA highlighted that the outcomes of this meeting are anticipated to significantly enhance service delivery and data management through the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) system across the country.
