Freetown, Sierra Leone – Authorities are urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating a baby reported missing from the Special Care Baby Unit at Ola During Children’s Hospital and Princess Christian Maternity Hospital (ODCH/PCMH). The infant was last seen on Friday, June 6, 2025.

Hospital management, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, including the Police and Criminal Investigations Department (CID), has been actively working to locate the child since the disappearance. The Sierra Leone Nurses Association (SLNA) and the Sierra Leone Medical and Dental Association (SLMA) have issued a public appeal for credible information regarding the infant’s whereabouts.

A reward of 100,000 New Leones (equivalent to 100 million Old Leones) is being offered to the first person who provides a tip that leads to the baby’s safe recovery. All information received will be treated confidentially and anonymously. Rewards can be disbursed via cash, Orange Money, Africell Money, or bank transfer.

Individuals with any information are urged to contact the SLNA immediately at +232 76 985999 or +232 78 36 20 36.

Officials emphasize their commitment to reuniting the baby with its family and allowing healthcare workers to resume their regular duties. The SLNA and SLMA have expressed hope and prayers for the infant’s safe return.

The appeal was formally issued by representatives of both associations on June 11, 2025.
