The Ministry of Youth Affairs in Sierra Leone is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the UGO Fellowship Program 2025, a fully funded initiative in collaboration with the Universal Greening Organization (UGO). This program aims to empower young Sierra Leoneans aged 18 to 32 who are enrolled in sustainability or green economy-related courses for the upcoming academic year.
Eligible candidates must possess a minimum average of 65% in their most recent academic results and should come from previously disadvantaged backgrounds, validated by an affidavit. Additionally, applicants must have no criminal record and be willing to travel both locally and internationally.
The UGO Fellowship Program includes online training and a seven-day international exchange program across Botswana, Kenya, Sierra Leone, and South Africa. Interested candidates are required to submit a single PDF file containing the following documents: a one-page motivational letter, a certified copy of their National ID issued within the last three months, their latest academic transcript, an affidavit confirming their disadvantaged background, three reference letters, an updated CV (maximum of two pages), a police clearance certificate or proof of application, and a high-resolution passport photo.
Applications should be sent via email to fellowship@universalgreening.org, with the subject line including the applicant’s student number. The deadline for submissions is June 20, 2025. For more information and to apply directly, candidates can visit www.universalgreening.org.
This initiative represents a significant opportunity for youth in Sierra Leone to acquire valuable skills and gain international experience in the burgeoning field of environmental sustainability.
