The Ministry of Communication, Technology, and Innovation (MoCTI) has officially welcomed Paul Hingha Tucker as its new Deputy Minister. His appointment was marked by an engaging session that showcased his dedication to public service and appreciation for the Ministry’s ongoing initiatives.
During his inaugural address, Tucker expressed admiration for Minister Salima Bah, revealing that he has been an avid follower of her leadership even prior to his appointment. He reminisced about watching her interviews on Arise TV and Channels in Nigeria, proudly identifying her as “my Sierra Leonean sister.”
Tucker recounted their first meeting several months ago in Kailahun, where he shared his thoughts and collaborative ideas with Minister Bah. He described this encounter as a “divine connection” that has now blossomed into a leadership partnership within the Ministry.
With a strong academic foundation in History and over nine years of experience in the transport sector, Tucker emphasized a commitment to a people-centered approach and national transformation. “The new Sierra Leone is in our hands,” he affirmed. “I am here to support the President’s policy agenda and provide robust assistance to the Minister.”
In closing, Tucker expressed gratitude for the Ministry’s achievements, stating, “The work of the Minister is visible. Let’s give her a round of applause.”
