The Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) mourns the tragic loss of our colleague, David Williams, who died in a car accident along Kambia Highway today. David was a dedicated Camera Operator at the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC).
We also mourn the loss of Emily Koroma, a promising intern with BAN, who recently secured a position as a finance officer. Their untimely deaths are a profound loss to our media family.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and colleagues of David and Emily. Our thoughts are also with Ibrahim Samura, Acting News Editor at SLBC, and Abu Brima, Country Director of NMJD, who are recovering from injuries sustained in the accident.
