Nabeela Farida Tunis, Sierra Leone’s Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, has received prestigious accolades, being named Africa’s Best Minister of Tourism and recognized among the Top 100 Travel and Tourism Personalities on the continent. These honors were presented at the 21st AKWAABA African Travel Market held in Nigeria.
Minister Tunis officially accepted the awards during a press briefing at the Ministry’s headquarters on King Harman Road in Freetown, organized by the Ministry and its affiliated agencies.
These recognitions highlight her significant contributions to promoting tourism in Sierra Leone and enhancing the country’s cultural heritage on a continental scale.
