Karpowership Renovates Orphanage, Commits to Ongoing Support for Vulnerable Youth

Turkish Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Yusuf Mahak, and various local stakeholders, marked a significant step in enhancing the living conditions for the orphanage’s residents.

Kingtom, Sierra Leone – Karpowership, a leading global power generation company, has officially unveiled a fully renovated building at the Variety Children and Family Services Orphanage, reinforcing its dedication to supporting vulnerable communities in Sierra Leone.

The handover ceremony, attended by Turkish Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Yusuf Mahak, and various local stakeholders, marked a significant step in enhancing the living conditions for the orphanage’s residents.

Hamra Dolusa, Director of Karpowership Africa, announced the company’s commitment to ongoing support for the orphanage, which includes financing school fees, covering monthly operational costs, and providing regular food supplies for its more than 675 children.

Mr. Francis, the director of the orphanage, expressed heartfelt gratitude toward Karpowership and called on other potential donors to assist in constructing new facilities in Kerry Town, Waterloo, to address the increasing needs of the children.

Ambassador Mahak praised the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of the partnership between Turkey and Sierra Leone in fostering national development.

The ceremony concluded with a symbolic ribbon-cutting, heralding a renewed chapter of care, hope, and collaboration for the nation’s most vulnerable youth.
