Under the leadership of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio, the nation is reaffirming its commitment to creating a greener, more resilient, and inclusive future. The event is organized under the Presidential Initiative on Climate Change, Renewable Energy and Food Security (PI-CREF), spearheaded by Hon. Dr. Kandeh K. Yumkella, a renowned advocate for sustainable energy and climate innovation.
CRET 2025 aims to convene global leaders, private investors, development partners, and grassroots activists to engage in strategic discussions and forge partnerships that will:

- Enhance access to clean and sustainable energy for all
- Strengthen food security through climate-smart solutions
A major highlight of the event will be the official launch of “MISSION 300,” an ambitious national initiative aimed at fostering sustainable development and establishing Sierra Leone as a leader in climate action.
Minister Yumkella emphasized that this dialogue represents more than just another conference; it marks a pivotal moment in Sierra Leone’s sustainability journey, positioning the country as a regional model for effective climate action and equitable energy transition.
“CRET 2025 is about harnessing our collective will, innovation, and investment to transform Sierra Leone into a hub of green growth and climate resilience,” Dr. Yumkella stated.
