Madam Fatima Maada Bio, the First Lady of Sierra Leone, has reaffirmed her dedication to empowering youth and promoting gender equality in a recent meeting with advocacy groups linked to the Hands Off Our Girls Campaign.
In a post on her official Facebook page, the First Lady shared that she welcomed executive members of the Kids Advocacy Network and participants from the recent Girls Empowerment Forum to her office on Wednesday afternoon.
The discussions focused on preparations for the upcoming 8th Anniversary of the Hands Off Our Girls Campaign, exploring potential partnerships and collaborative efforts to enhance the protection and upliftment of girls throughout Sierra Leone. Launched in 2018, the Hands Off Our Girls initiative has consistently championed the rights of girls and women, with a mission to eradicate sexual and gender-based violence, promote educational opportunities, and support young women in their pursuit of success.
