B.C. Pradhan, the Indian High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, met with Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Segepoh Solomon Thomas Esq., today to enhance diplomatic and parliamentary relations between the two nations.
During the visit, High Commissioner Pradhan conveyed a goodwill message from India’s Speaker of Parliament, underscoring the enduring partnership between India and Sierra Leone. He highlighted various collaborative initiatives in healthcare, education, and infrastructure, reaffirming India’s commitment to supporting Sierra Leone’s development through joint efforts.
Speaker Thomas expressed enthusiasm for the meeting, emphasizing the Sixth Parliament’s desire to strengthen ties with India by tapping into shared democratic principles. The discussions also aimed to improve inter-parliamentary dialogue, boost economic cooperation, and collaboratively address global challenges.
This meeting marks a significant step in solidifying India-Sierra Leone relations, with anticipated benefits for governance, trade, and cultural exchange. Both parties are expected to organize follow-up engagements to actualize key decisions made during the discussions.
