The All People’s Congress (APC) has announced a nationwide Pre-Convention Elections Sensitization Tour scheduled from December 15, 2025, to January 4, 2026. This initiative aims to prepare party members for upcoming internal elections.

The announcement was made by the APC’s Internal Elections Management Committee (IEMC) on December 10, 2025. The tour’s primary objective is to ensure that members are well-informed about the procedures, guidelines, and regulations governing the elections.

Targeting a wide array of key stakeholders, the sensitization tour will involve Regional and District Chairmen, Members of Parliament, Councillors, as well as Constituency and Ward Executives. The IEMC emphasized the tour’s role in educating members about the APC Code of Conduct for Elections, outlining their rights and responsibilities while ensuring compliance with the APC Constitution (2022) and the Elections Framework.

Additionally, the tour seeks to promote transparency and awareness, paving the way for a smooth and fair electoral process ahead of the party’s convention. Engaging with essential groups such as the National Elders Council, the National Young Congress (NYC), the National Women’s Congress (NWC), the National Veterans Congress (NVC), and the Persons with Disability (PWD) Wing, will further enhance stakeholder engagement.

The IEMC also plans to meet with Former Members of Parliament, Former Councillors, and various affiliate groups, all of whom play significant roles within the party.

This sensitization initiative is viewed as a critical step in building momentum for the upcoming convention, ensuring members are well-prepared and aware of their roles in the electoral process. The IEMC highlighted that this tour is not merely a preparatory exercise; it is a vital mechanism for fostering unity, transparency, and accountability within the APC as it gears up for internal elections.
