Archdiocese of Freetown to Hold Memorial Mass for Late Pope Francis

Freetown, Sierra Leone – The Archdiocese of Freetown has announced a memorial Mass in honor of the late Pope Francis, directed by His Excellency Archbishop Edward Tamba Charles. The Mass is scheduled to take place at the Sacred Heart Cathedral on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 10:30 AM.

This memorial service follows the funeral Mass planned for Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Rome. Pope Francis, who served as the leader of the Catholic Church since 2013, was known for his commitment to social justice, interfaith dialogue, and pastoral care, leaving a profound impact on millions around the world.

The Freetown memorial Mass aims to express gratitude and acknowledge the life and ministry of Pope Francis, a beloved figure in the Catholic community.
