Behind Closed Doors

Behind closed doors, a secret lies

A truth hidden from prying eyes

A heart once full, now broken and worn

A soul tormented, forever torn

The smile that hides, the pain within

The whispered cries, the silent screams begin

The fear that grips, the heart that bleeds

The love that’s lost, the trust that’s freed

The hands that once held, now hurt and harm

The words that once soothed, now bring alarm

The eyes that once shone bright, now dim with fear

The voice that once sang, now whispers tears

But still she stays, through the darkness and pain

Through the shattered dreams, and the love in vain

For in her heart, a glimmer of hope remains

A light that flickers, a chance to break the chains

Let this be a voice, for those who can’t speak

A cry for help, a heart that seeks

To rise above, to shine a light

On the darkness that hides, behind closed doors tonight.
