Freetown, Sierra Leone – The Court of Appeal has issued a bench warrant for surety Isha Baby Mansaray of No. 7 Tucker Drive, Majay Town, and appellant Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray for their failure to appear before the court.

The warrant was issued during a hearing where A.J.M. Bockarie Esq. represented the State. The case has been adjourned to Thursday, February 27, 2025. This development follows the Court of Appeal’s prior announcement that it would hear Mansaray’s appeal against his 2021 conviction for sexual penetration of a minor on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Law Courts Building in Freetown.

Notices of the hearing had been duly served to both the State and Mansaray’s legal representatives. Mansaray, a prominent political figure and leader of the opposition Alliance Democratic Party (ADP), was sentenced to a lengthy prison term following his conviction. His appeal seeks to challenge this verdict.
