According to a report by the popular Facebook blog page Salone Gossip Reloaded, a family member of Victor Onie Williams claims to have been informed by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) that all individuals in custody related to his case are allegedly set to be released on bail.
This decision purportedly follows an order from the new Chief Justice, Komba Kamanda, citing insufficient evidence to justify their continued detention. The report alleges that evidence, including numerous voice notes collected, has not been thoroughly reviewed.
The development has sparked controversy, particularly as Chief Justice Kamanda is reportedly a member of the same fraternity implicated in the case, with video evidence shared by Salone Gossip showing him wearing the fraternity’s attire.
Salone Gossip Reloaded emphasized the power dynamics at play, stating that while the Chief Justice holds significant influence, no one is above the law. They reiterated the necessity for the legal process to take its course, especially given the circumstances surrounding the untimely death of a young individual, whose medical report reportedly indicates abnormal conditions.
The blog further expressed that while they do not intend to undermine anyone’s authority, they are prepared to release all evidence they possess if they feel justice is not being served. They underscored the importance of adhering to the legal process, noting that even in cases of suspected murder, certain legal restrictions apply until innocence is proven.
In conclusion, the blog suggested that this case could potentially reveal the true identities of those involved, as they remain committed to pursuing justice diligently, emphasizing transparency and accountability.
