Deadline Extended: SLTSC Concludes Teacher Registration

By Joseph Momoh, Reporter

The Sierra Leone Teaching Service Commission (SLTSC) has officially concluded its nationwide teacher registration on Monday, April 7, 2025, following a two-week initiative aimed at ensuring comprehensive enrollment across the country.

In a public notice, the Commission announced that over 98 percent of targeted schools had been successfully engaged during the rigorous registration process. All strategies and resources were employed to maximize coverage and ensure that no school was overlooked.

Acknowledging that some educators may not have been able to complete their registration due to valid reasons, the SLTSC has made provisions for those affected. Teachers who missed the initial deadline are encouraged to contact their district TSC office for assistance. Required documents for late registration include:

  • A national identification card or an alternative form of identification
  • Professional qualifications (if any)
  • Contact number of the school head
  • National Social Security and Insurance Trust ID card (for payroll teachers)
  • Bank details (for payroll teachers)

To accommodate late applicants, the Commission has extended the submission deadline to Thursday, April 17, 2025.
