Ibrahim Michael, a thirty-two-year-old driver, made his initial appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura at Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown, facing charges of housebreaking and larceny in violation of Section 26 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of the offense presented during the court session, on March 2, 2025, in Mambo Peninsula, Goderich, Western Area of Freetown, Michael allegedly unlawfully entered the home of Amara Saffa with the intent to commit theft. He is accused of stealing a Dell high-five laptop valued at fifteen thousand Leones (15,000) and cash amounting to forty thousand Leones (40,000), totaling fifty-five thousand Leones (55,000) in stolen property.
The case raises ongoing concerns regarding property crimes in the region, with further proceedings expected as the investigation continues.
