In the wake of the tragic murder of Reverend Augustine Dauda Amadu, Parish Priest of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Kenema, the Sierra Leone Police have ramped up security operations in the Eastern Region.

Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) for the East, Moses Francis Tower, announced the implementation of intensified night patrols throughout the city. This initiative aims to deter criminal activity, restore public confidence, and ensure the safety of residents and their property.

AIG Tower stated that these measures are part of a comprehensive strategy to uphold peace in Kenema and its surrounding areas. He reassured the community that the safety of its citizens is a paramount concern and that law enforcement officers are diligently working to prevent further incidents.

The police also urged residents to collaborate with security forces by reporting any suspicious behavior or criminal activities. This community involvement is critical for enhancing surveillance and improving overall safety.

As the Sierra Leone Police strengthen their patrols and security measures, they remain committed to ensuring that citizens can engage in their daily activities without fear.
