Emerson Bockarie Senessie, known for his history of fraudulent activities, has been remanded in prison following his second court appearance before Magistrate Wilbrie John at Pademba Road Court No. 7.
Senessie faces two serious charges: conspiracy to defraud and obtaining money by false pretenses, as outlined under Section 32(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916. The charges arise from an alleged scheme to defraud Mary Theresa Kamara of $50,000.
Court documents reveal that between February 17 and June 7, 2024, Senessie collaborated with unknown accomplices in Liberia to deceive Kamara into believing he would purchase and ship gold to her in the United States. The allegations suggest that Senessie was aware that this promise was false but proceeded with the intent to defraud.
During the court proceedings, Senessie pleaded not guilty to the charges. However, Magistrate Wilbrie John ordered his remand and set a date for the next court hearing to continue the proceedings.
