In a significant move towards fostering national reconciliation, the Government of Sierra Leone, through the Office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, announced today, August 12, 2025, the exoneration of 37 individuals previously associated with the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) Party. This notice came in the form of a press release and is in alignment with Resolution 4 of the Agreement for National Unity (ANU), signed on October 18, 2023.
Following a thorough review by the Resolution 4 Oversight Committee, the government has confirmed that the following individuals are not subjects of any criminal investigations and are thus free to resume their normal activities without interruption:
