The Government of Sierra Leone, through the Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Security, has issued a public notice requesting all institutions and companies to submit detailed information on their foreign employees.

Effective February 17, 2025, organizations are required to provide a comprehensive list including each employee’s name, designation, qualifications, and duration of employment within the country. This requirement aligns with Sections 11 and 13 of the Work Permit Act 2023 (Act No. 11 of 2023).

The Ministry stated that this directive aims to gather data that will enable informed decision-making regarding foreign employment in the nation. Institutions and companies are instructed to address their submissions to the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Security.
