The Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, has announced that the Government of Sierra Leone will hold a National Symposium on April 28, 2025, in celebration of the country’s 64th Independence Day.
Under the theme “Reclaiming the Importance of April 27,” the symposium will take place at the Hockey Pitch in Wilberforce. This event aims to bring together prominent Sierra Leoneans from various sectors, providing a platform to reflect on the nation’s history, culture, and development trajectory.
Minister Bah emphasized the significance of the symposium in fostering unity and encouraging citizens to engage with their country’s heritage. The event is expected to feature discussions, presentations, and activities that will highlight both the achievements and challenges faced since independence.
The government invites all citizens to participate in this celebration of freedom and national identity.
