The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Regional Office in Kono has made a shocking discovery of thirteen cartons of Free Health Care drugs secretly stored in a male restroom at the Koidu Government Hospital. This revelation followed a tip-off from a whistleblower, prompting a swift response from the ACC’s Regional Investigation Unit.

During the operation, essential life-saving medical supplies intended for vulnerable populations—including pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children under five—were found in an inappropriate location. Two individuals have since been arrested and are currently assisting with the ongoing investigation.

The ACC has reiterated its commitment to ensuring proper management and distribution of Free Health Care drugs, highlighting the serious implications of this incident on the oversight of critical medical resources meant for those in need.
