The sudden death is reported of Augustine Alhaji Sesay, popularly known as Sugar Podolski. He was a final-year student pursuing a B.A. in Education (Political Science).

Alhaji has been battling with ill health in recent weeks. He was first admitted to the Bo Government Hospital, but as his condition worsened, he was referred to Connaught Hospital in Freetown. Sadly, he could not overcome the complications and passed away in the early hours of Tuesday 18th November 2025 at around 10:00 a.m.
He has already been buried in his home town in Blama
He will be missed by his families, friends and the entire Njala University community.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
