Sulaiman Jalloh made his initial appearance at the Waterloo Magistrate Court, facing serious charges following a violent attack on Barrie. The incident occurred around midnight on June 5 in Deep Eye Water, where Jalloh is accused of breaking into Barrieās home and cutting his throat with a sharp knife. Witnesses described the assault as exceedingly brutal, comparing it to the slaughter of livestock.
Jalloh faces multiple charges, including wounding with intent, attempted murder, wounding, and assault, all in violation of Sierra Leone law. During the court proceedings, he pleaded guilty to the charges; however, the lack of legal representation meant no formal plea was recorded.
Currently held at the Waterloo Correctional Centre, Sulaiman Jalloh is expected to return to court for a committal hearing on June 27, 2025. Meanwhile, the victim, Barrie, is receiving ongoing medical treatment for his injuries.
