Kaffa Family Seeks Justice for Daughter Allegedly Beaten to Death by Boyfriend

The Kaffa family, along with residents of Bumanjah Village in the Upper Sandor Chiefdom of Kono District, is demanding justice following the tragic death of 27-year-old Sia Kaffa. 

Sia is alleged to have been brutally assaulted by her boyfriend, Tamba Sandi, on Thursday, October 17, 2024. She succumbed to her injuries on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

Her body is currently at the Connaught Mortuary in Freetown, awaiting a post-mortem examination to determine the official cause of death. Meanwhile, Tamba Sandi is in police custody at the Kono Police Station, where he is assisting with ongoing investigations.

The grieving family is appealing to human rights organizations, local law enforcement, and First Lady Fatima Bio to ensure a prompt and thorough investigation. The community has expressed widespread outrage and is urging authorities to act swiftly to deliver justice in this case.

As the investigation progresses, the Kaffa family and local residents remain hopeful that justice will be served for Sia Kaffa.
