Sierra Leone’s leading sports betting and lottery company, Mercury International, honored the winners of its highly anticipated end-of-season raffle promotion in a colorful ceremony last Monday. The event was filled with excitement as winners received prizes, including a Tricycle (Kekeh), motorbikes, helmets, a 5 KVA generator, and five Samsung mobile phones, marking a successful conclusion to another thrilling promotional campaign.

In his opening statement, the company’s Deputy Public Relations Manager, Sahr Morris Jr., expressed gratitude to all participants and emphasized the importance of rewarding loyal customers. “The End of Season Promotion is all about giving back to our valued players, and today, we celebrate their achievements,” he stated.

Deputy Online Manager Octavus Jackson explained that the raffle was an online promotion introduced with the support of their international partners. He noted that it provides opportunities for customers playing Mercury International’s virtual games, casino, and other betting platforms, including football.

Jackson further revealed that aside from the Kekeh, the second prize winner rode away with a motorbike and helmet, while the third prize winner also received a motorbike.

Representing the Managing Director, Chief of Operations Beresford Burnce Coker advised winners to put their winnings to good use. “The promotions introduced by Mercury are not solely profit-driven but aim to give back to our customers. I encourage you all to handle your prizes with care to generate more income,” he said.

Moriba Kenewova, the grand prize winner of the Kekeh, shared his surprise at winning. “I was never sure I would win when I was contacted by Mercury International. This prize has truly made my season special,” he remarked.

Abu Francis Koroma, who won a motorbike, expressed his gratitude, stating that the win represents a significant opportunity for him. “I look forward to participating again and winning more,” he added.

In April 2025, Sarah Koroma, a young female student from Kabala, joined the ranks of lucky winners. She became the first recipient of a Kekeh after winning the star prize of the Mercury International online Easter Vegas promotion.
