In a bid to enhance international cooperation and expand employment opportunities, Mohamed Rahman Swaray, Sierra Leone’s Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Security, recently met with the Director General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Minister of Labour of Oman. This engagement took place in preparation for the upcoming 6th Session of the Islamic Conference of Labour Ministers.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and identifying avenues for investment and overseas employment. Minister Swaray emphasized five transformative initiatives aimed at creating jobs and ensuring decent work opportunities for Sierra Leoneans abroad. His proposals were met with a favorable response from his counterparts, signaling a promising outlook for sustainable labour and employment projects that could yield reciprocal benefits.
