The National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) has initiated a three-week training program focused on Economic Inclusion Implementation Procedures and Processes, aimed at fostering inclusive development and advancing national social protection priorities.
Hosted at the West End Palace in Freetown, the program features participation from Coaches, Business Development Officers, and NaCSA staff from both field and headquarters across Sierra Leone. This capacity-enhancement initiative is part of NaCSA’s broader strategy to improve operational delivery and increase community-level impact.
The training covers essential topics such as planning, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion strategies, results-driven monitoring frameworks, beneficiary targeting, and livelihood support. NaCSA Commissioner Ambassador Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina served as the keynote speaker at the opening ceremony, emphasizing the alignment of the program with President Bio’s transformation agenda. He remarked, “Our gathering here fully corresponds with President Bio’s transformation agenda. This is a call for all institutions and citizens to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development and progress. At NaCSA, we have embraced this challenge, and we are committed to ensuring that every intervention we lead contributes to the goal of creating 500,000 jobs across Sierra Leone.”
Mr. Idris Turay, Senior Director and National Coordinator for the National Social Protection Secretariat (NSPS), underscored the importance of contextual execution and community ownership in effective program implementation.
The training includes hands-on group exercises, field simulations, technical deep-dives, and collaborative planning workshops, delivered through a participatory learning model. As Sierra Leone strengthens its social safety net architecture and emphasizes economic empowerment, this training marks a significant step forward. It reinforces NaCSA’s commitment to building robust systems, nurturing capable personnel, and embedding accountability to achieve inclusive, equitable, and lasting outcomes.
