We announce with deep sorrow the passing of Forstina Hawa Gogra, who was called to eternal rest on 4th September 2025 at the age of 47 years. She was born on 11th March 1974 to Mr. Amara Gogra and Mrs. Teresa Gogra, who raised her with love and strong Christian values.
Forstina was a devoted mother, blessed with her beloved daughter Philicia Yeani Conteh and other children who cherished her: Elecia Sesay, Hajara Kargbo, Mariama Sesay, Mamusu Koroma, and Christiana Bangura. She shared her life with her loving siblings — Elenor Koroma, Celina Beale, Rebecca Koroma, Aminata Kamara, Aminata Kallon, and her brother Samai Gogra. She was also dearly loved by her uncles George Koroma and Tenison Gogra, and her aunt Victoria Kebbie.
Forstina’s life was one of service, faith, and commitment. She pursued her education at Methodist Girls High School and later at Milton Margai Technical College, where she equipped herself for a career in healthcare. She went on to serve as a training staff at the School of Nursing and worked as a Community Health Worker, roles in which she impacted many lives with her compassion and dedication.
A devout Christian, Forstina’s faith guided her through every season of life. She was known for her love of family, her kindness, and her devotion to helping others.
Her remains will be laid out at her residence, No. 109 Lowcost Housing, Kissy. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, 17th September 2025 at 1:00 PM at Holy Cross Parish, Kissy Mess Mess, followed by interment at Kissy Mess Mess Cemetery.
Forstina Hawa Gogra’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
