A delegation from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) led by Lieutenant Colonel Adombire-Akologo visited the Sierra Leone Police Force on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
The team met with Inspector General of Police, Mr. William Fayia Sellu, to discuss potential collaborations and training programs.
Lieutenant Colonel Adombire-Akologo emphasized the importance of tailored training, highlighting KAIPTC’s focus on policing and security reforms, as well as human rights-related training.
IGP Sellu welcomed the team and shared insights on the current security situation in Sierra Leone, stressing the need for constant training as crime evolves.
He highlighted recent successes, including the Senior Strategic Leadership Course, and urged KAIPTC to consider offering additional training programs on human rights for middle management and lower-level personnel.
The visit concluded with a souvenir presentation and a group photo session.
