The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has fined the All Peoples Congress (APC) Party One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Leones (NLe 120,000) following reports of incendiary statements made by one of its members.

The PPRC stated that Hon. Lahal Marrah, the APC’s Chairman for Falaba District, made provocative remarks during a civic engagement at the District Council Hall in Falaba Town on November 15, 2025. These statements were deemed in violation of the Political Parties Act.

Prior to this incident, the Commission had issued a warning to the APC on November 11, 2025, advising the party to adhere to Section 39(1)(d) of the Political Parties Act (No. 25) of 2022. The failure to comply has led to the imposition of the fine, with the party now required to settle the penalty within 14 days.

The PPRC emphasized its commitment to ensuring that political parties operate within legal boundaries and uphold peace and civility in public discourse.
