Public Service Commission Chairman Kalilu Amara Bah has taken three men to court, accusing them of stealing assorted items from his residence. The accused – Ibrahim Jaffason Kamara, Sahr Abu Bockarie, and Abdulai Sankoh – face three counts of charges, including conspiracy, house breaking and larceny, and receiving stolen goods, valued at Le 167,500.

According to the indictment, Kamara and Bockarie allegedly conspired to commit house breaking and larceny on August 2, 2024, at Cordialia Drive, Regent Road Lumley Freetown. They allegedly broke into Bah’s house and stole building materials worth Le 167,500. Sankoh is accused of receiving three wooden panel doors valued at Le 30,000, knowing they were stolen.

The case took an interesting turn when the accused persons didn’t enter a plea. The prosecutor, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sorie Conteh, requested an adjournment due to the complainant’s absence. Defense Counsel Abduli Sankoh applied for bail, citing her client’s week-long detention at the police station. Despite the prosecutor’s opposition, the magistrate granted bail, pending approval from the Deputy Acting Registrar. The hearing continues on October 7, 2024.
