A man accused of murder and luxury car theft in Guinea has been apprehended in Freetown by the Sierra Leone Police. Musa Jalloh, who allegedly fled Guinea following a deadly robbery on April 12, was arrested over the weekend.

Jalloh was located with assistance from the INTERPOL National Central Bureau in Freetown after a tip-off was received through the I24/7 alert system. Officers from the Counter-Terrorism and Cyber Units collaborated with INTERPOL to monitor Jalloh’s movements, leading to his capture without incident. The stolen 2024 Toyota Range Rover was also recovered during the operation.

Detective Chief Superintendent Jenevieve Tity Cowan, who oversees INTERPOL operations in Sierra Leone, highlighted that effective teamwork across various units facilitated the swift apprehension of the suspect.

Jalloh is currently in custody in Freetown and is expected to be extradited to authorities in Guinea. The head of the Guinean Police has expressed gratitude to the Sierra Leone Police for their rapid response and cooperation in this case.
