Mustapha Kpaka, a tiler and laborer, has been detained following his appearance in court on charges of larceny under Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916. The charges arise from allegations that he stole construction materials from a church located in the Western Area.

Court records indicate that the alleged theft occurred on January 31, 2026, at No. 9 Old Railway Line in Tengbeh Town. Kpaka is accused of pilfering one ton of five-eighth iron rods along with various other materials, collectively worth Le93,000. The stolen items are reportedly owned by the Abundant Life Faith Ministry International Church.

After hearing Kpaka’s plea, Magistrate Julian Mary Gbloh denied bail and ordered his remand at the Male Correctional Facility until the next court session. The case has been adjourned for further proceedings on March 6, 2026.
