The Director of Traffic Management and Road Safety Directorate (TMRSD), Commissioner of Police (CP) Mr. Moijueh, has accepted a donation of 31 breath alcohol testers from the Kingtom Police Hospital. The handover ceremony took place at the Central Police Division and underscored the importance of road safety as the country approaches the festive season—a time often associated with increased road activity and a higher risk of traffic violations.

In his remarks, CP Moijueh expressed his sincere gratitude to the leadership of the Kingtom Police Hospital for their timely contribution. He emphasized that the breath alcohol testers will be crucial in enhancing traffic law enforcement and reducing incidents of drunk driving during this critical period. “These devices are essential tools for ensuring road safety, especially as we enter the holiday season,” he stated.

The breath alcohol testers will be distributed to Divisional Traffic Operations Sections (DTOS) nationwide, strengthening the enforcement capabilities of the Sierra Leone Police. CP Moijueh also acknowledged the support and vision of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) in promoting road safety initiatives across the country.
