The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the National Tourist Board, has issued a stern warning to several beach bars, threatening immediate closure for failing to meet operational criteria.
These popular beachfront establishments, known for their vibrant atmospheres and contribution to local tourism, have been cited for persistent non-compliance regarding beachfront fee payments for the years 2021 to 2024. Despite multiple invoices and reminders, some operators have neglected their statutory obligations.
“Consequently, we hereby announce that these defaulters are required to cease all operations immediately,” the Ministry stated, underscoring the need for strict adherence to regulatory requirements to ensure the integrity and sustainability of the tourism sector.
Acknowledging the cooperation of compliant operators, the Ministry reiterated its commitment to fostering a fair and equitable environment within the industry.
