In a decisive ruling, three men have been sentenced to a total of 15 years in prison for breaking into a vehicle and stealing cash and personal items in Murray Town, Freetown.

The convicts Joseph Bangura, 33, a footballer; Samuel Jallohson, 29, a businessman; and Mohamed Sesay, 27, a fisherman were found guilty by Magistrate Mustapha Briama Jah at the Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 1.

The incident occurred on July 14, 2025, when the defendants allegedly conspired with unknown accomplices to break into a Honda CR-V5 parked in Murray Town. Each man received a five-year prison sentence, which takes into account the time they have already spent in custody.

Magistrate Jah’s verdict followed a thorough review of evidence provided by the Sierra Leone Police, leading to guilty verdicts for conspiracy to commit a crime and larceny against all three defendants.
